Well, despite our skepticism, it appears that some of you really do read this section! We have received numerous (three) emails from customers confirming that they do visit this page. After such an overwhelming response, we have decided that an update is in order.
Roots & Sculpture has now been trading for 9 years; a sincere thanks to all our customers (new and old).
The principles on which the business was founded remain true today; convenient, secure shopping for high quality black hair and beauty products. We have maintained our fixed postage costs - a decision we did regret when some of our more opportunistic customers thought it would be fun to buy only heavy products (you know who you are). We had to take one order over to the Post Office in a rucksack!
We will continue to add to our extensive range of products and provide more convenient ways to pay (for example, PayPal was added as a payment option in January).
We love to hear from customers, whether it is praise or criticism, as it keeps us on our toes. But please remember, if you are going to call to complain, make sure you are talking to one of us! My mother (visiting from the Caribbean) answered the office phone last week to one of our 'regulars' who launched into a verbal onslaught about how we had sent the wrong item. However, customer service clearly runs in the blood, and my mother calmly listened until the caller had finished, then kissed her teeth and hung up on them. We have now made her Director of Customer Relations.
